Free library: no digital resale or redistribution
Selling or reselling designs from our free library is strictly prohibited, including as digital stencils on Etsy, other marketplaces, or your own website. Do not redistribute, upload, bundle, or give away free-library files. These restrictions also apply to modified copies and files converted into another format. Share a link to the original World Stencils design page instead.
Free library: no commercial use
You may not sell physical or digital products made with designs from our free library, including printed items, cut stencils, clothing, signs, or other finished products. We do not currently offer a commercial license for free-library designs. Paying to prepare or convert a free-library file does not grant commercial rights. Custom digital stencil orders have separate commercial-use permissions.
Custom digital stencil orders: commercial use and resale
Custom digital stencil designs that you commission and purchase from World Stencils may be used commercially. You may sell products made with your custom design, and you may resell the custom digital design itself, including on Etsy, other marketplaces, or your own website. These permissions apply to the custom design you ordered from us; they do not apply to designs downloaded from our free library.
Monitoring and copyright enforcement
We use AI-assisted tools to monitor online marketplaces and websites for unauthorized copies of our designs. If we identify suspected infringement of rights we own or are authorized to enforce, we may submit copyright infringement reports to Etsy or other platforms. Reports may lead to listing removal or store or account restrictions, suspension, or termination under the platform's policies. The platform determines what action to take.
Sharing and attribution
Share the original World Stencils design-page link so other makers can find the artist and the current license. Do not repost free-library files, mirror the free collection, or remove its ownership information. Custom digital orders follow the separate permissions above. Credit Fobius8 and World Stencils when sharing projects where practical.
Report a copyright concern
Send copyright or DMCA-related notices using the contact methods on our Contact page. Identify the work you own and the exact page or file at issue, provide your contact information, and explain your relationship to the rights owner. Include a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized, a statement that your information is accurate and that you are authorized to act, and your physical or electronic signature.
Review process
We review notices and may restrict or remove disputed material while investigating. If you believe content was removed by mistake, contact us with the relevant page and supporting information. This contact page does not represent registration of a designated DMCA agent.
